Our Training Competencies

At EFire, our training methodology places utmost importance on both safety and proficiency. Every engineer in our team is versatile and skilled in handling diverse systems, products, and manufacturers, with safety consistently being our foremost concern.

EFire Accreditations

We go the extra mile to ensure our engineers possess the necessary skills to prioritize safety and work with accountability. Upon joining our team, new engineers undergo a series of comprehensive health and safety courses and schemes, including:

  • Safety Pass Alliance (SPA) Passport. This is a 2 day UKPIA course that teaches engineers how to recognise and respond to a multitude of common hazards, including the risks of working on petrol filling stations, which present unique safety challenges.
  • International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). This course prepares engineers for using MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Working Platforms) such as scissor lifts and cherry pickers) to work at heights.
  • Asbestos Awareness. It is estimated that 1.5 million UK buildings still contain asbestos, making asbestos awareness training a potentially life-saving resource for our engineers and customers.

On top of these, our engineers are also given day-to-day manual handling, working at heights and ladder safety training. We also cover several other courses for engineers where required, such as:

  • AC200
  • Comelit
  • HIK Central
  • Openpath
  • Pasma
  • Waterstore
  • CEM
  • Commend
  • Milestone
  • Pacom
  • Tavcom - CCTV over IP

Our Project Managers receive extensive health and safety training, as they bear the ultimate responsibility for overseeing health and safety throughout a project's duration. They undergo a rigorous Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course, spanning five days and encompassing CDM Regulations, risk assessments, method statements, electricity, evacuation procedures, demolition, and confined spaces training, ensuring they are fully equipped for their role.

All of our safety training regimes are closely managed by our Compliance team to ensure they are fully up to date.
